A Community Arts Space
The Valencia Arts Center (VAC) is the home of Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA), located in Winona, MN. Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 community arts school and affiliate program of Saint Mary’s University of MN. MCA offers classes, camps, workshops, private lessons and performance opportunities in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. MCA was founded as a Ballet School in 1973 by Stefannie Valencia Kerlin and offers programs for ages birth- adults.
The VAC houses 3 dance studios, 4 practice rooms, a black box theatre, a recital hall, visual arts room, gallery space, and offices. The VAC is also utilized by a variety of community groups including Winona International Dancers, a Karate Dojo, Saint Mary’s University Theatre and Music Department, and Great River Shakespeare Festival.
