Good fun sailing alongside Parlay to welcome them home to NZ yesterday. I couldn't resist giving them a call on the radio to get them to line up on the back of the boat for a group photo as they sailed towards the city. Nice one guys! Congratulations!!!

I am beyond excited to share that I am a finalist in the New Zealand Photographer Of The Year.
This photo is part of a project I did for Muriwai Beach Horse Treks. It was a long planned photo shoot with many factors to juggle and align. The owner Saara and I had multiple planning meetings and location scout/walkthroughs. We put together a shooting plan and set a date that had low tide at sunset.
To capture this moment, I was hanging out of the window of a ute as we matched the speed of the horses. The timing was perfect, Lucy my driver positioned us perfectly which let me focus on capturing the shot.
The horses and riders are very talented and were wonderful to work with and photograph. A massive credit to Saara and her team!

A neat shoot for Central Landscapes featuring a product called Organic-Lock which is designed to be blended with crushed aggregate to create natural looking pathways and surfaces. It minimises erosion and maintenance while allowing sitting water to permeate into the groundwater table. It is environmentally friendly, wheelchair accessible, resists erosion and reduces dust. I went to many sites throughout Auckand (including the zoo) to photograph this product being used in a variety of situations.
Good luck to everyone racing in the PIC Coastal Classic today.
Here are a few highlights from over the years. Happy sailing โต๏ธ

It was a fun shoot climbing all over the scaffolding to get around the various levels and areas of the scaffold project. A few crucial elements needed to line up for this image: low tide, sunset, clear weather, a ute matching the speed of the horses. Hanging out the window, Lissa Reyden captured the idea she had in mind: โThe ultimate feeling of freedom.โ
