I started another wedding painting last night (Saturday). This wonderful couple wanted me to capture their first dance under the chandelier at The Ridge, north of Asheville, with the mountains in the background. So here's how it looked at the end of the reception. I made a lot of changes to it in the studio today and it's off to a good start. Shout-out to the great staff at The Ridge Asheville and The Planning, Asheville, NC - they really know how to take care of their guests and visiting vendors. Also to Rachael McIntosh Photography, who's an outstanding photographer and a pleasure to work alongside.

The Planning is now hiring for an Assistant Wedding Coordinator! This role includes help with all aspects of the wedding day, under the direction of the lead Wedding Planner with The Planning. Some tasks include, but are certainly not limited to:

· Behind-the-scenes work
· Tending to the bridal party
· Setting up, detailing & breaking down items such
as programs, es**rt cards, décor, tables, chairs,
linens, place settings, etc.
· Assisting & greeting guests & answering
questions
· Directing the wedding party prior to & during
ceremony
· Making sure the ceremony & reception runs
according to schedule
· Receiving gifts & placing in designated location
· Interacting with venue staff & vendors

Skill-Set: The ability to take direction well and think quickly on their feet is an absolute must, as well as have a positive attitude at all times, especially under stressful situations. The assistant must be able to take directions as well as be proactive and work unsupervised. An upbeat personality, excellent customer service and sense of humor are an absolute necessity.

Experience: Experience in the hospitality industry is required.

Physical requirements: The assistant will be on their feet for many hours (10-16) at a time and be able to move furniture and décor.
