Join us for the Student Spotlight Concert on February 29, featuring our fantastic students and alumni in the role of conductor, soloist, composer, and, of course, ORCHESTRA! It’s a great event that showcases our talented musicians at the U. 2/29 at 7:30 p.m.

We are pleased to feature two faculty as guest soloists on Friday’s concert.
Dr. Laura Grantier, our professor of clarinet joins us for the brilliant Mozart Clarinet Concerto, which features one of the most sublime melodies ever written. Dr. Kasia Sokol-Borup, adjunct professor of violin, will lead the strings to open the program as conductor and violin soloist for Schoenberg’s surprisingly tonal, Notturno for Violin and Strings. The program closes with a rousing work by American Composer, Howard Hanson, his Symphony No. 2, also known as the Romantic Symphony.

Also, parking around Presidents Circle on Friday will be near impossible due to the EPSN Game Day broadcast happening on the lawn, so plan your route and your time accordingly so you can find parking and walk to the music building in time for the downbeat.
