Chef Peter Leigh Gallin is owner of Say Ciao!, and a devotee to fresh, healthy Northwest cuisine. He is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy located in San Francisco, California with a curriculum focused on classical French cooking techniques. He has worked as a chef since graduation in 1988, both as a caterer as well as at numerous restaurants. Peter is the son of an anthropologist and a sociologist and is a world traveler who has spent time living in Asia and all over North America, including the East and West Coast, the deep South, Southwest, the mid-west and Northwest. His past pursuits have included being an avid skier; 14 winters were spent in Colorado, Taos NM and Utah. Windsurfing in Hood River Oregon during the summer rounded out his year. These days riding his Ducati motorcycle is his main sporting pursuit. And as he always like to say: "Simple elegance; deliciously common ingredients."

Say Ciao! is looking for a part time counter person/server plus additional off and on site catering help when needed. This would be a friendly, punctual, presentable person with some restaurant experience needed. Need to be over 18 years old and have a M.A.S.T service license as we serve beer and wine.

Tuesday, June 29, Say Ciao is open from 11:00 - 2:00 for cold food only as we do not want to run any hot equipment as we lost our A.C. yesterday - it is partially fixed, but don't want to over stress it... Hopefully tomorrow we will be back to "normal". 😊
