Hotel staff that have been working at Christmas parties for a number of weeks need to have fun, too!

We are winding down a fun-filled holiday season with one more weekend filled with parties and banquets for various hotels and venues in Calgary, Canmore and Banff. Tonight, we kick things off by entertaining the staff at the Fairmont Banff Springs for a third year!

Two weeks into the 2014 Christmas/Holiday Party season and lots of successful events and satisfied clients so far!

A quick story and a few tips:

There are many professional music and entertainment companies in the Calgary area. Unfortunately, there are also some that are not.

This past weekend, Good Times received two panicked phone calls from people looking to book us at the last minute. Both calls came in the evening from separate corporate Christmas parties who hadn't seen or heard from the DJ companies they had booked despite it being almost "dance time".

1) Hire professionals and verify their references.
2) Put everything in writing and sign a mutually binding contract.
3) Stay in touch with whomever you book.

Remember:
- You almost always get what you pay for.
- Entertainment, or lack thereof, truly makes or breaks a party.

Private parties have started early this year. A number of people are throwing parties "just because", while others are celebrating holidays, milestones or birthdays like this private get together at the Voodoo Lounge that featured some soulful singing and dancing courtesy of Good Times.

Last night officially wrapped up our "Post-Christmas Corporate Party" season. A number of companies now have their holiday banquets during the first weekends of January instead of the typical mid-November through December period.
